A Beacon Hill Engagement

I feel like this is a stylistic departure for me. Maybe it’s not – I’m too close to my work to really know when I’m doing something different, but it felt different when I shot it. One thing I’m sure of – I talk way too much during my engagements. So for this session, I just shut up and documented the two people in front of me. Some pointed direction here and there, but basically it was all them. And that was awesome. Every time I shoot a Beacon Hill engagement I try to do something different to keep it fresh. So I tried shutting up and it worked out better than I couldn’t hoped.

Hillary + Ken, I’ll see you two in September. I’ll be crossing my fingers for a warmer afternoon, but I know you two can rock a chilly day like none other.

Technical crap, finally rocking the Nikon 58 1.4. This thing is a game changer for me – the perfect focal length for the look I’m going for and the quality I need. I don’t know how I’ve gone so long without it.
