Earlier this summer I met up with Josh and Michelle for their Coppal House Farm engagement session. Such an unbelievable setting for a shoot and I’m so jazzed about how these came out. The day started clear, but after an hour or so a storm barreled in giving us some dramatic clouds and crazy light to work with. Can’t wait to do this again next summer!
Can you tell its late summer? The surest sign of wedding season for any photographer is the precipitous dropoff in blog posts… Fortunately, I have a few posts queued up and I’ll be sharing some of my favorite work from this busy summer over the next few weeks. First up, Colleen + Al’s downtown Salem engagement session from earlier this year. These two fantastic people will be tying the knot in November, closing out our fall wedding season. Can’t wait!

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen a lot of these photos. I’ve tried (and mostly failed) to limit myself in sharing too many from this session, but I’m just so over the moon about it. Nalani and Nico wanted to shoot where they first met, literally, in the Northeastern Curry Student Center. After shooting around Northeastern, we spent the afternoon Ubering, T’ing and walking all the over the city, finishing along the Charles as the sun set over Cambridge. I can’t wait to do this all again next summer.
It may be mid June, but its never too late to start revisiting the overwhelming number of weddings I’ve failed to share in the last nine months. Expect a lot more of these recaps in the days ahead. Let’s begin with Susan and Mark’s Bedford Village Inn wedding.
Susan and Mark exchanged vows on a FRIGID afternoon in March. Such an awesome day surrounded by a whole bunch of incredible people (including some of my own family). My hope with all weddings, weather its mid-summer or the dead of winter, is to shoot at least something outside. So glad that these two were game for heading outdoors despite the freezing temperatures.

Ahh spring. Birds are singing, flowers are blooming, and the season begins anew for Boston wedding photographers. I’m so excited to jump back into the weekly grind of weddings, engagements and family shoots and actually start sharing these shoots when they happen! Late last month I joined Danielle & John in the city to shoot some spring engagement photos. When planning this spring engagement it didn’t cross my mind how busy a Saturday in the city would be, especially the first beautiful Saturday of the season. Its not hyperbole to say this was the busiest I’ve ever seen the Public Garden. To avoid the crowds, we started on Beacon Hill before heading back to the park after the crowds dissipated. I’m so excited to join these two in the fall for their backyard wedding!

To everyone we’ve met and worked with throughout 2016, thank you. This was a truly unforgettable year and I can’t thank you enough for giving me the opportunity to do what I love. These photos barely scratch the surface on the adventure that was 2016.
From an incredible vacation in Costa Rica, to nearly 30 weddings spread all over New England, to countless engagements, to watching my wife carry our baby girl for nine months – 2016 will be hard to match. 🙂
I’m blogging this session one handed with a week old baby in my arms, so my apologies for the brevity (and typos). Now that she’s here, I’m really excited to share more of 2016, starting with Alex + Nicole Boston winter engagement late last month. This session was COLD, possibly the chillest session I’ve ever shot, but all the more reason to cuddle in close. Plus if you can look this good in 15 degree weather, you can handle anything.
