You Had Me at Home Alone Koozie and Lakeview Pavilion
The start of our season has been all over the place. After we got home from Costa Rica in March, we went right into our first wedding, climbed the John Hancock Tower to support Frankie’s work, traveled to New York to see Hamilton (humble brag), shot engagements, celebrated birthdays and finally got to Sherri + James’ Lakeview Pavilion wedding.
I’ve had this day marked for months, not just because Sherri + James are fantastic people, but this is one of those weddings so chocked full of familiar faces that you can’t help getting overly excited about it. We’ve had the privilege to shoot multiple weddings with this group of friends and family so we knew exactly what to expect heading in. And it delivered.
From the moment we arrived we were welcomed like friends. That kind of welcome is not lost on me. The whole reason we invest our time in doing this is to make connections with the people we work with (and create some beautiful photos). I’m grateful when people let us in and give us this little peek into their lives through their wedding days. In our time getting to know Sherri + James since their engagement last summer, you just know these two are meant to be together. Their personalities are in sync. Their sense of humor is so similar and seeing them together just feels right. So enjoy this look into their Lakeview Pavilion wedding day and know I’ll always cherish the fact that we were entrusted to document these moments.
